Environmental Policy
It is the policy of the management of Willbros Canada to make sure our work is performed in an environmentally responsible manner at all times. We shall consider the appropriate protection of humans, plants, animals, air, water, and soil.
The employees and subcontractors of Willbros Canada shall perform all procedures and work required while minimizing the harmful effects to the environment.
Management will develop and enforce good environmental standards in accordance with relevant legislation, such as the Alberta Environmental Protection Act. These standards will be implemented through our Safety, Health and Environmental Program.
Our employees and subcontractors are made aware of the environmental hazard on our work sites and they are trained in the appropriate hazardous job procedures.
If an environmental incident ever occurs an investigation will be completed by the site management. The results of the investigation will be made known to all employees and subcontractors who perform the same task.
Emergency response procedures and training will be put into place to cover emergencies like fuel and chemical spills at our work sites.
Where possible, we shall recycle products and promote the use of recycled products, minimizing the volume of waste materials produced by our operations.
